 Falcons                     1

Kasonko scored a cracker in a 4-1 victory over Falcons at Winston school; to send the mighty squirrels back to a winning spot in the Local League.

The result never looked in doubt, with the Wander boys turning in a scintillating attacking display that, at times, ranked up there with their best of the season. It could have been many more but for a string of missed opportunities and sharp goalkeeping from visiting stopper.

The referee also denied Southport – and Shaban – a chance of a fifth when he failed to award what looked a certain penalty after the Najja born star went down under the keeper’s challenge inside the penalty area.

The manager Dennis made two changes to the side that played at Wankulukuku in the yellow’s last friendly outing. Most notable was the inclusion of Henry for the first time since 7 November.

Henry, who injured just 24 days prior to Falcons arrival at the dusty pitch, was initially targeting a return in time for The Yellow’s trip to Najja Lads on 16 December. But, just as he did when he had an injury earlier last month the still had an impact on the game.

Henry's first two passes were wayward but his third, a deft flick, sent Dennis racing through the middle of the pitch to kick start a typically speedy Yellows counter-attack.

While Henry eased his way back into first-team action, Aloysius launched an early assault on the Falcon goal.
The striker scored twice before Dennis converted in a cracker from 20 yards.
We hope to do better for the good of everyone at Southport Wanderers F.C. Its a small club but hope to increase evry1’s individual mentality. Thanks to the support of Southport FC and all the board members.
