The Life of football in Uganda has been a revelation to most Youth. Some plegde to paly for international leagues because they are good enough but the support is always not enough.

The players have come through a tough time in the sorrounding villages to make it to the team.
Basically the team welcomes evrtyone to join as long as hey are rready to take on the challenge. The work was bacause the governing body FUFA YOUTH PROGRAMME encouraged the youth to develop prominent aspects through football.

President's speech
President Yoweri Museveni has commended sports activities saying they are not only for amusement but also as a therapy for many problems as well as ensuring good health.
Addressing Commonwealth leaders at the Commonwealth Sports Federation Breakfast in Munyonyo yesterday, President Museveni advised everybody, including non-professionals, to engage in sports in order to remain healthy.
The President, who once again welcomed Commonwealth leaders to Uganda, further informed them that the Uganda Government has, in its struggle to contain the spread of the HIV/AIDS scourge, consistently encouraged the youth to engage in positive activities such as sports where they can expend their energies, enhance their faith by reading religious books and concentrate on studies.
Museveni, at this juncture, introduced Uganda’s steeple chase gold medalist, Dorcus Inzikuru, to guests at the Breakfast.
Sports federation President Michael Fennel praised the Commonwealth nations for promoting sports and physical activity as a tool for social and economic development.
The outgoing club Secretary General Don McKinnon called on leaders to support sports for the benefit of the young generation.
Other speakers included Jamaica Prime Minister Bruce Golding, who urged member nations to use sports as a tool of human interaction.
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown told the guests of his passion for sports and pointed out that it is about encouraging the young people to aim high.
He said sports is a language spoken by every country and is about aspirations of the community and the world. He extended an invitation to member countries to participate in the 2014 Commonwealth Games to be held in Glasgow, Scotland.
The Indian External Affairs State Minister Anand Sharma, whose country will host the 2010 Commonwealth Games, described the biannual events as a great unifying factor that should remind everybody of the aspect of life, its continuity and the spirit of competitiveness.
He pledged his government’s commitment to ensuring that the 2010 games in New Delhi will be the most organised and memorable event.

The Chogm Campaign exercised some of the points that actually affect youth. It talked about youth getting involved more into develpoment because they are the leaders of the future.
Buganda government Sports Commissioner David Steel Katumwa has urged parents to allow their children take part in games.
He said the tendency of parents to discourage their children from taking part in sport, is denying them a chance to grow into well rounded citizens.
Katumwa, who is also a candidate for Sports Club Villa's presidency was speaking at the Sports Day of Blue Nile Secondary School.
"It's now the parent's duty to allow their children take part in games because they are now the highly paid professional jobs.
“Look at our own (Dorcus) Inzikuru; she is earning too much now because she is a wonderful athlete. I have offered a discount of 10% to any parent who will buy equipment at my shop for their children to use," said Katumwa.
The Katumwa Sports Centre proprietor donated sports equipment worth Shs300,000. Katumwa, aho was guest of honour told the children to emulate the Kampala Kids League U-14 team which over the weekend won the Gothia Youth Cup in Sweden.
Kyoga House emerged overall winner with 814 points. They dominated in netball and volleyball beating Kagera 15-14 and Mbogo 2-1 respectively.
